The Financial Planning Association of Taiwan (FPAT) took part in Global Money Week 2026 by launching the “Smart Money Talks - Parent & Child Short Video Campaign”, a new initiative echoing this year’s theme. For the first time, FPAT invited CFP® and AFP professionals in Chinese Taipei to co-create 60-90 second short videos with their own children, demonstrating how everyday money conversations - on saving, budgeting, investing, risk management and fraud prevention - can take place naturally at home.

The campaign marked a shift from previous formats such as campus lectures and slogan-collection activities. As money has traditionally been a topic seldom discussed openly within families, the initiative encouraged certified financial planning professionals to lead by example, turning abstract financial concepts into real family dialogues and bringing financial education from the classroom into the home. The vertical, mobile-friendly video format also allowed the campaign to reach broader audiences across social media platforms.

Financial Planning Association of Taiwan (FPAT) participated in this year’s Global Money Week by delivering lectures in universities and social media content to all our CFP® professionals. With the theme "Protect Your Money, Secure Your Future," this initiative aimed at promoting financial literacy among college students in Chinese Taipei. It covered various financial topics including current financial issues, financial behaviour, risk awareness, fraud prevention, and practical case studies. The goal was to encourage students to enhance their understanding of financial management and risk awareness, thereby promoting correct financial behaviour and education. By promoting the identification and prevention of financial scams, the initiative aimed to foster widespread financial literacy education and align with international standards.
